Although working my way through the OPWDD maze on my own wasn't the easiest thing to do – I managed to overcome the confusion of CNBAs, managing the differing FI guidelines, submitting invoices, and of course my insecurities–yeah I had those too! After submitting my first few budgets, and educating myself, I started really focusing on not just being a broker but building my broker business and taking full control of being independent. And now my broker business is successfully supporting my family.
